Garden Bloggers Bloom Day

I've been meaning to participate in Garden Bloggers Bloom Day for quite a while, but I always seem to forget. I'm hoping to make it a monthly habit this year. (To participate, not to forget.) My blooms are inside- an Amaryllis and my African Violet.

That's one of the most beautiful Amaryllis flowers I've ever seen Sarah - Happy Blooming Day!

I noticed the Memorial Day countdown - is that your usual last frost day?

Well Sarah, you made it this time! Love that amaryllis of yours, it's very pretty. Wish I could have african violets but my Vita (cat) destroys them all.

Happy blooms day!

frances- thanks for stopping by!
annie- our last frost date is a couple weeks earlier, but we always have a few late frosts. My family has planted on Memorial Day Weekend for as long as I can remember.
carol- thanks for stopping by, and I hope I remember to keep participating :)
yolanda- I like the amaryllis too. It's prettier than I expected. I'm sorry you can't grow African Violets - I've had a lot of trouble keeping them alive. This one is doing pretty good, though.

Hi Sarah,

Your Amaryllis is quite a beauty. I haven't seen one with so many blooms. Your African violet is really thriving.

Happy GBBD to you! Have a good weekend!

kate- I've never seen one with so many blooms either. I think there are 4 now, and a fifth bud.
Thanks for stopping by!

Your amaryllis flowers are amazing. I love the African violet, too - they're one of my favorite indoor plants.

Happy (belated) Bloom Day!

Christa-I like African Violets too. I've always had trouble keeping them alive, though. This one may be approaching a record. :)
